"Platitudinous Charletons"

With John McCain's introduction of the disingenuously named "Internet Freedom Act" which would stop all FCC efforts to have an open and public discussion about proposed Net Neutrality rules. I have had just about all I can take of the blatant idiocy of Politicians!

The only thing worse is the gullibility of our poorly education nation that put McCain and his ilk in positions of national responsibility in the first place. This is why The US of A is in an across the board decline.

McCain, who proudly announced that he didn't know how to email let alone use the internet in any way, has accepted more telecom donations than any other politician, but remains among the most facile of political ignoramuses on the scene today. How dare he purport to foist a bill upon the country that will allow telecom bandwidth providers to throttle the data packets of whomsoever may be deemed "competition" thereby allowing Comcast for example to disrupt Skype VOIP calls because Comcast doesn't think FREE calls are a proper use of "Their" network. The bandwidth providers already have "Packet Sniffing Technology" in place and can see the nature of the data we all are transmitting and receiving. Comcast admitted that they were prioritizing certain data packets in an effort to properly provision bandwidth, until the FCC ordered them to stop that is.

When your streaming video sputters in fits of stops and starts and buffering, provider interference and network throttling is often to blame. McCains bill would legitimize this practice. Part of the problem is that both sides have made efforts at co-opting the term "Net Neutrality" to the point where it can mean anything.

Do you think English is the International Language? What may have been true up to now is about to change, so think again.

In an era where we are already experiencing a great economic leveling of the standard of living between the USA and the so called BRIC Nations of Brazil, Russia, India and China and where the World Wide Web, in an effort to equalize global prosperity and international self esteem, is about to start using the languages of the world, McCain's proposition would further hobble the economic strengths of our country, just as the global marketplace makes efforts to restrain American Commercial Relevance.

"Leaders of the private body that oversees the basic design of the Internet, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or Icann, are expected to decide at a meeting in Seoul, South Korea this Friday to let Web addresses be expressed in characters other than those of the Roman alphabet. Already, portions of a Web address can be written in other languages. But the suffix, such as the "com" after the dot, must be typed in Roman letters.

The change will allow the suffix -- known as a top-level domain in the architecture of the Internet -- to be expressed in 17 other alphabets. They include traditional and simplified Chinese characters, Russian Cyrillic, Korean Hangul and Hebrew. Dozens of other alphabets are likely to be added in coming years."

While propping up national pride of the various participating ethnicities this protocol will simultaneously be diluting the Global power and position of Brand America.

McCain knows not what he does and cares not about the law of unintended consequences.

To paraphrase an old axiom let me say that, first we should shoot all the politicians.
