"Jason McCabe Calacanis is indeed a Good Fellow"

I’ve been following his exploits from afar, for nigh on a decade now and I’m secure in the fact of his beneficence. He is OK by me. I’ve always wanted to work with him but alas I’m too far away and too old now. He likes ‘em young, but who doesn’t? Of course he has his peccadilloes, but again who doesn’t? He may at times seem to be a bit verbose but this is a small price to pay for the occasional enlightenment and frequent astute observation coming from this savvy manager. He has provided career development to a bevy of beautiful babes, but someone has to do the work and all things being equal, who would you rather surround yourself with?

He has been extremely successful earning a fortune through the sale of his nescient startups but has he benefited unjustly? Any more than say Mark Cuban, who pulled the fastest sleight of hand that I’ve ever seen! Nay I say Jason has provided good and fair value in his transactions.

As a Pirate Of Silicon Alley, Jason’s actions have been more akin to a sympathetic Privateer acting on behalf of the culture, The AOL Adventure notwithstanding.

He deserves a Tesla if that is what he wants to do with his booty or anything else he can afford for that matter. The genuine pain he feels when letting employees fly in order for the group to survive the storm can be felt by all. But what’s a mother to do? We all serve at the pleasure of economics.

For his empathy in understanding the human condition even as it evolves in the digital age. For His transparency and persistent pushing of the New Media envelope and his intimate communication to strangers via his email (newsletter) I say, Mahalo, Jason, fair winds to you Sir and illegitimi non carborundum. As you go forth in life most of us go fifth! So Go Forth and Produce....and Reproduce again...Love -db
