"Inanity, Insanity, Incompetence and Subterfuge"

I am opposed to it and find it despicable and un-American, but where is the Patriot Act when you need it? Could the Fort Hood Shooter have been any more outspoken about his views against the current wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

It's really NOT Terrorism but the first highly publicized case of PRE TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER ! You read right, it's not a typo. Hasan so dreaded the idea of going to war in the Mideast that he went bisurk prior to being shipped out!

Right under their nose yet! Starting with his cold and aloof demeanor then continuing with his poor performance ratings at Walter Reed Military Hospital, could Nidal Malik Hasan have been any more vociferous, provided any more tell tale signs to alert his managers, handlers and theoretically his observers to his deadly desire?

An Internet message posted this spring under Hasan's name argues that suicide bombers are not committing murder but rather "helping to save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers" is surely evidence enough that the shooting at Fort Hood was an act of terrorism.

Where were all the G-men who are supposed to be keeping an eye on this sort of thing? His posting of these maniacal rants online and sharing with several people his thought that suicide bombers were like GI’s falling on a hand grenade to protect their comrades indicate terrorist leanings and anti American sensibilities and it was all public knowledge! Since the government is supposed to be spying on us, particularly the Muslim among us where were they on this occasion?

A military psychiatrist walking around in a rage so of course they give him advanced weapons training and issue orders to serve at the front!

How was Hasan invisible exactly? It's indeed alarming that as a defective but devoutly pious worshiper no member of his religion spotted his evil predilections. Where was the community?

As a Doctor, a medical professional with all the associated continuing education requirements and as a specialist, a Psychiatrist you would think analysis would be required as well. Where wss the industry oversight?

Apparently incompetence runs rampant and disinterest in our fellows is pervasive throughout society.

As long as it's all there, I mean the spying infrastructure, Echelon and the racks of electronics processing global communications and the rest of the eavesdropping empire that we pay for, as long as it's there what good is coming from it? If we can't catch a guy right in front of us, yelling at the top of his lungs, there isn't much hope at all, is there? Literally Billion$ in Homeland Security Funding for just about the biggest mental masturbation enterprise ever!~!

The beauty of Government Espionage programs is the secrecy. The public is not privy to the mechanism, let alone the success or failures of the initiatives. Virtually no oversight just a bottomless pit of spending. Nice work if you can get it but it all amounts to the Evil Catch Me If You Can for this Halloween!
