BUSH LEAGUE

“A friend of the devil is a friend of mine” or so the song says. Iran might be influenced by the Devil but George Bush might just be him. I would say that he IS the Devil but then there’d be nothing left to say about Dick Cheney! After observation and analysis it dawns on me that despite rhetoric to the contrary the lyric happens to sum up the behavioral ideology of our present day leader. Protestations are simply the pot calling the kettle black! Like some offbeat Wes Anderson film, the bizarre behavior of the leader of the free world seems to point towards his being an entity in the possession of extreme evil and/or an equally energetic stupidity. It is the juxtaposition of apparent stupidity that mitigates the perception of his being the embodiment evil in today’s media led zeitgeist. Enabling a sort of plausible deniability in the hearts and minds of the populace.

We are led to believe that he is not causing pain, death and destruction on purpose. It’s just that he’s stupid. Having said that, let us make no mistake there is evil there. And there is evil here. The darkness exists both within the person and without. Maybe the darkness is counting on the stupidity? For example take the pervasive environment of stupidity throughout today’s USA. Not stupid you say? Otherwise how to explain the rise to power of the current POTUS?

Surely, he would not have been elected to the highest office in the land but for the successful influence of the greedy rich over the poor and stupid. What the rich and powerful love most about America is the promise that everyone has an equal shot at wealth and success. The fact that the less educated buy into this belief and had voted for Bush en masse simply reinforces the argument that we are a nation of the stupid.

What…..you deny this assertion!

Must we measure and quantify the viewers of so called reality TV to prove the point? There is very little reality in Reality Television. The fact that viewers don’t realize this and the fact that there are massive quantities of viewers for this drivel certainly does not point to an educated Hoi Polloi Americana! The cloud of stupid should be self evident; at least it appears that way to me. Whether or not his public performance is an act or the man is sincere makes no difference, the end result is the same. GWB through his use of half truths, outright lies, fear mongering coupled with an expertly honed stupid act has presided over what has to be one of the darkest hours in the history of civilization. I suppose it’s the 2 steps forward 1 step back dynamic at work here. Need I list the shame line item by line item? I hardly know where to begin. Just to point to a couple of examples. Start with Iraq! 'Nuff said there. Moving on, I’m ashamed to be associated with a leader who touts that when found, the source of the Valerie Plame leak will be prosecuted with the full weight of the Federal Government and then he pardons Scooter Libby. Two faces of truth without honor.

I cannot countenance torture and make no mistake The USA has implemented torture as a standard operating procedure in not so covert operations. This changes forever America’s ability to claim the high road.

Historically The Bush Family have been the accountants for Big Oil. They are PR Front Men for Big Energy! Not that they personally have to do any of the actual heavy lifting mind you. They simply have their name on organizations to which checks get written. The founders of this family have created a line of heirs that amount to Modern Day American Royalty. Somehow smiling stupidly with big power behind them puts them in the frontline of policy enactment that benefits the few at the expense of the rest of us. Again we are hesitant to attribute the apparent heinous ulterior motives because of the air of stupidity surrounding the push to drill for oil in Alaska for instance.

Interesting how well one can provide for his family when morals are thrown to the wind. All while acting as if you were exceptionally and religiously moral. As if to say,” I may be stupid but it don't matter,god advises my actions.” Yet for more than a decade we Americans let this crap rollover us with nary a protest.

Jeb Bush recently accepted a $450.000.00 per annum position on the board of a banking entity he approved for a 8 Million Dollar refund as Governor of the State Of Florida. Talk about your blatant conflict of interest and graft and corruption. Apparently there is a caste system in America. Success can be inherited and it’s not all a meritocracy by any stretch of the imagination.

Some politicians are questioning whether Governor Jeb Bush's brother Neil is trying to use the FCAT to make a buck. Neil Bush founded a company that provides software to help students take standardized tests. Critics say it doesn't look right for Neil Bush to be marketing his software to Florida schools.

Ignite, Incorporated makes computer software to help children prepare for standardized tests like florida's FCAT. Students at an Orlando-area middle school are using the software as part of a pilot program. Founder Neil Bush is the brother of Governor Jeb and President George Bush.

The arrangement is raising eyebrows at the state Democratic Party. Spokesman Ryan Banfill says having one brother selling something to help students on a test spearheaded by another brother and sanctioned by the president doesn't look good. "We think that there's an appearance of impropriety here," Banfill said. "We think that in the name of all that's good and ethical, that maybe Neil Bush should step back and not try to make money off of Florida's FCAT."

So close to planetary enlightenment and yet so far.

Forget Democratic and Republican lines of demarcation. Forget the ideology of the Red or Blue states, Discard the targeted appeals from the Right or the Left. Lets simply get the smartest and bravest souls into leadership positions.

GW Bush, a modern day real life Forest Gump has certainly gotten his, now if the rest of us can only get ours!
