A Tale Of Two Blondes-With apologies to Charles Dickens

Wait it’s 3 Blondes, No 4, OMG it’s 6 Blondes

It is the best of times. It is the worst of times. There is more wealth than ever before. There is more poverty and strife than ever before. There is more freedom than any other generation has known. There are more efforts to limit our freedom than at any time since WWII. GW BUSH and the current administration have overseen the greatest moral and fiscal bankruptcy that this country has ever seen. The creation of bubbles and inflation overlays the transfer of wealth from the middle class to the wealthy. We have transformed an America from one of the most respected, admired and identified with nations in the world to the most hated and vilified.

In the same way that you are what you eat. We are what we consume media wise. We had better improve our diets soon.

It used to bother me that 2/3 of the pundits out there referred to early adopters as early adapters. Even Barry Diller is guilty of this within his IAC’s promotional literature. A seemingly minor point, but one with gargantuan ramifications. It is a signpost on the slippery slope of ineptitude in a world where specificity matters. It might appear that niggling little inaccuracies such as that pale in comparison to the overall idiocracy being enabled by the media. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idiocracy After all the media are the ones defining the environment in which GW was elected President!

I no longer believe in the chicken or the egg question. I now know which comes first. A fearful and stupid media that censors truth in the clinches and fails to provide editorial comment when needed is just the catalyst zealots on the right had been preying for. (sp On Purpose)

In the face of the Patriot Act don’t give me liberty, give me CRAP. That’s what I want mindless, brain numbing crap reinforcing this celebutante society. Visit the web 2.0 site www.Crappr.com

Why not have a tv program with analysts speaking to various personality points and quantifying the relative level of celebrity between these unimportant but popular stars? Position these people in the same measurable way that we position Stocks in Wall St. Reviews. Rating the amount of celebrity will go a long way towards reassuring the populace that all is alright on the planet. Nothing is daunting, large and unmanageable.

If only I could escape the media. I can't seem to turn away; it's like watching a traffic accident. Quitting smoking was easier than turning off the TV News or Magazine program. As it happens it’s getting more and more difficult to tell news from editorial. The difference between the Nightly News and Showbiz Tonight is so blurry as to be indistinguishable to anyone without a PHD on the subject. There is also the gaping void where Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Huntley-Brinkley and their ilk used to be.

If only Danny hadn’t fallen on his sword so quickly, we might have had someone pointing the way towards the light. I’m speaking of Rather of course.

My latest excuse for a rant was fomented by the following;
There is no single word that comes to mind when viewing Hayden Panettiere donning a wetsuit and swimming in a dangerous effort to disrupt the annual secret dolphin slaughter by Japanese Fishermen . http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=843_1193927344
It’s certainly an adult sort of prose that come to mind when experiencing the juxtaposition between that thoughtful young woman saving creatures smarter than humans and the next story where the Hilton sisters were featured promoting Japan's fashion brand. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2007-11/06/content_7022154.htm
Adding insult to injury is the continuing saga of Britney and her kids. Just as I realize the horror of the imagery being presented worldwide and reflecting on all Americans, reverse peristalsis is kicking in as the latest in the ongoing and neverending Anna Nicole updates are being given their weekly due. I kid you not all four stories were presented in one single fifteen minute sequence.

Add to that the resignation of The State Department's public diplomacy chief and image guru, Karen Hughes, and the language debacle ruining the career of Dog the Bounty Hunter and I’m selling humanity’s sustainability index short this week. BTW I thought that Karen Hughes’ job was to fix all this and create and distribute positive imagery. To hell with it. I’m going back to concentrating on making money. Generating revenue will take my mind off the fact that if everyone lived like Americans the planet would be dead within 30 years.

Smart Money;
I have discovered the next generation of credit card processing and it enables anyone with a checking account and either internet access or a telephone to accept credit cards at the best transaction rates available. There is a whole lot more functionality bundled in the Trinity System including a contact manager. Imagine being able to process a credit card transaction from your cellphone! Taking money on the road has a whole new meaning. http://sales.payjunction.com/dbeyer

Digital Dialogue takes a running leap;
Reconfigure this backend database/messaging jammy to promote/alert/inform/poll/educate/survey and otherwise extend the conversation to wherever your audience is. http://mobicp.com/
