With a BFA in Communication Arts from the New York Institute Of Technology,
Dan Beyer is a 20-year veteran of Web, Video & Multi-Media Production.
He has worked with both Long Island Cablevision and HBO in New York where
he had the opportunity to be a Technical Director for events such as the
Mohammed Ali vs Antonio Inoki fight live from Japan. Dan then made the
transition into corporate communications with Caribiner, Inc., then the
world's largest Multi-Media production & staging organization.
After spending several years with Caribiner and a decade with enterprises
such as Imax Productions, G&T Harris, Inc and Stage Struck Projection
Service, Dan moved to South Florida where he became the On-Air Broadcast
Operations Manager for the Caribbean Satellite Network and later Production
Manager for Virtual Studios. Dan has worked on projects as diverse as an
interactive exhibit, featuring a video wall in the lobby of WR Grace's Boca
Raton headquarters, International tours of Multi-Media shows for product
introductions, sports television programming and other varied types of events
and presentations for both public and private audiences.
In the fall of 1999 after spending a year working with internet start-ups
such as Schedule Earth, Dan joined Brett Cramer and TvTaxi.com, in a Web
Development/Hosting organization with streaming media specialties such as
the now famous Matrix family of tech apps, (Matrix Player, Matrix Mailer,
Matrix Tracker) and focused his experience and knowledge in the arenas of
customer development, project implementation and corporate communications.
Among Dan's achievements in Web 1.0 was creating custom sites and communities
incorporating video streaming with a high degree of interactivity and audience
engagement. As a streaming media evangelist, Dan is known for bringing in many
tier one customers such as Citigroup Worldwide and Microsoft, who became
TvTaxi's #1 client. Indeed, TvTaxi was invited to be part of the Windows Media
Player 7 development team and Microsoft entrusted TvTaxi with 25 of their
top customers as well. Thus the enterprise grew.
A few years later the bursting of the dotcom bubble had left TvTaxi holding
a few properties. Notable among these is
www.OneModelPlace.com which Dan was
instrumental in building into the world's #1 community for talent and photographers.
With hundreds of thousands of members and 4.5 million visitors per month, OMP
gets more work for more talent than any other single source. OMP now produces
its own programming as well.

At the end of February 2006 Dan left TvTaxi/OMP to pursue other Web 2.0
online and mobile communications opportunities.
